1. Dig open the loose stone pile of the small cave east of Mount Sternum, go down and down the ramp.
2. Use your pick on the muddy floor and go down (one fire devil), then follow the passage west to the hole.
3. Five fire devils live on this floor; pick another hole in the south-west corner and go down.
4. The lava room is full of fire devils, many on islands. The Spike Sword is in the body hidden behind a pillar.
