• A melee weapon or Firebug spell (to clear spider webs)
• Ample healing supplies

1. Go down the ramp into the dwarf mines west of Kazordoon and follow the holes down.
2. Open the doors on the way with Key 3802 and keep going down to the level 35 gate, then the hole behind it.
3. Head west past the giant spiders, clear the spider webs and search the skeleton at the far west end.

The Crusader Helmet's sprite was changed in the Christmas Update 2004, confirming the item/quest already existed by then. A faster alternate route via Mount Sternum was added in version 8.1 — that shortcut is post-7.72 and excluded; only the original Dwarf Mines route applies here.
