Train your skills with a ghoul or a monk

No trainers on Aelindor. There are no training rooms or training monks here. Instead, you can now bring your own training partner: convince a ghoul or a monk and train your skills on it.

Convince Creature for everyone. The Convince Creature rune no longer needs magic level 5, so knights and paladins can use it too. You can buy it in rune shops for 80 gold.

Cheaper to convince. Using the rune costs the creature's mana:

• Ghoul: 100 mana (was 450)
• Monk: 200 mana (was 600). Monks could not be convinced before; now they can.

How to train. Use the rune on a ghoul or a monk and it becomes your summon. Then attack it yourself. Your summon never fights back, and both creatures heal themselves, so they last a long time.

Ghoul or monk? You only advance if your hits get through and draw blood now and then. With a low skill, start with a ghoul: a monk blocks almost every hit, so you won't advance on it yet. Even on a ghoul, the first hit that gets through can take a while. Once your skill is higher, switch to the monk: it heals more, so it lasts longer. If you hit harder than it heals, it dies, and you get no experience for it.

Good to know.

• You can't attack in a protection zone, so train outside one.
• Train with one summon at a time. If you have two, the other one attacks the one you're training on.
• You can have up to 2 summons at a time.
• Your summon doesn't attack you, so this trains your weapon skill but not shielding.
• Your summon disappears when you log out.
